Funding for Research Team based in Public Health, Epidemiology & Biostatistics

The Birmingham Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyle for Children Study (BEACHES) have recently been awarded funding (£2.475 million) by the HTA to do a cluster randomised controlled trial of obesity prevention in children:

“A cluster randomised controlled trial of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of an obesity prevention intervention in primary school age children” – investigators are: P Adab, KK Cheng, M Pallan, J Parry, J Deeks, E Frew, A Daley, P Gill, J Duda, T Barrett, U Ekelund, J Cade, R Bhopal, S Passmore, E McGee.
